Referral Pathways

Healthyside Referral Pathways

  • Medicare referrals require:

    • A referral letter addressed to the Clinical Psychologist

    • Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) or MHTP Review

    Sessions:

    • Clients with a MHTP may be eligible for 10 sessions (6+4) per calendar year.

    Fees:

    • $219.05 with a medicare rebate of $149.05 leaves a $70 out of pocket fee.

    • This is not a bulk billing service.

  • Private Health:

    • Private Health Insurance may include psychological therapy as extras cover.

    • Clients encouraged to contact their insurance provider to review plan and level of cover.

  • Clients can access psychological therapy without a referral, depending on their circumstances.

    Please note the full session fee of $215.25 is incurred without a referral or health cover.

  • Workplace & Transport Accident:

    • Referrals under WorkSafe, Comcare and TAC insurance programs are reviewed upon intake to ensure our service is suitable.

    • Contact reception by phone (03) 8606 3505 or online for enquiries.

  • Referrals for Emergency service and Defence personnel can be accepted without a GP Referral.

    Referrals are facilitated through relevant internal staff portals, networks and employee assistance programs detailed here.

Limitations

  • We are unable to accept referrals for the purpose of NDIS or Centrelink DSP applications, court reports, community corrections, child protection or family violence orders.

  • We are unable to bulk bill.

  • We do not consult clients under 18yrs.

  • Some presentations may not be suited to telehealth delivery. Our clinical and admin team will review this upon intake and assessment.
